Privacy Policy

Human Co-Pilot operates BetterJob365. This policy covers our career-discovery website and related support and subscription services. It explains our practices rather than providing a blanket consent to unrelated uses of your data. Contact us through the Contact page for privacy questions and requests.

We process account information such as your email, name, sign-in identifiers, and account role; career reflections and preferences you provide; optional résumé information; generated profiles, recommendations, learning plans, and saved opportunities; coach invitations and shared snapshots; and messages submitted through our contact form. Billing records may include your customer identifier, plan, subscription status, and transaction history. Stripe handles payment-card details. Technical information may include IP address, browser and device information, authentication activity, and service logs. Optional analytics record visits and product events such as starting an assessment or generating a profile.

Reflections, preferences, and confirmed résumé summaries are saved in browser local storage. Generated profiles are stored in browser local storage and, if you have an account, privately on your account. Other people with access to the same browser may be able to view these items. Browser storage does not mean information never leaves your device: when you request AI follow-up questions, guidance, résumé extraction, a profile, or a learning plan, the relevant input is sent to our hosting and AI service providers to produce the requested result. Avoid including health details, financial identifiers, sensitive personal information, or other people’s information.

Optional résumé files are uploaded to private storage and processed for extraction. Removing a résumé summary from the assessment does not itself delete the original uploaded file. Contact us to request removal of server-held uploads. AI outputs may be inaccurate and can reflect or infer personal characteristics from what you provide. Review them before use or sharing. Plus saves generated profiles, plans, and bookmarks to your account. Free previews are not a promise of long-term storage. We do not promise that an external AI provider has a particular training, retention, or geographic-processing policy; applicable provider terms and our arrangements govern that processing.

We use information to provide requested features, authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, respond to messages, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. If you allow optional analytics, we use product-event information to understand usage and improve the service. Service providers include Base44 for hosting, authentication, storage, platform analytics, and AI integrations, and Stripe for billing. AI integrations may involve downstream providers. Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where providers operate, whose protections may differ. Information may also be disclosed where legally required, to protect people or the service, or in a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.

A coach does not automatically receive access to your account or raw reflections. Sharing a snapshot or accepting a coach connection is a separate action. Anyone with a valid private sharing link may be able to read its snapshot until access expires or is revoked. Revocation cannot erase copies a recipient already made. An organization or school does not automatically gain access merely because it pays for a subscription. This service is for people aged 18 and over, including adult learners. Do not upload school-controlled education records, employee records, or other people’s data without authority and any required written agreement.

Local storage remains until removed by you or your browser. Session storage generally lasts for the browser session, although browser restore features may preserve it. Account-saved data is not automatically deleted when Plus ends. We retain service information as needed for the service, security, legal duties, and resolving disputes; billing records and backups may need longer retention. No fixed universal deletion schedule is promised. We use access controls and private upload storage, but no system is completely secure. Erase my journey in Privacy & Preferences clears the indicated journey data and updates the cloud copy only while Plus is active and synchronization succeeds; it does not delete your account, billing records, original uploads, or existing shared snapshots. Revoke sharing separately or contact us for a broader deletion request.

You can edit preferences, remove browser data, manage sharing, and change optional analytics through Cookies & choices. Optional platform analytics are off unless you choose to allow them; a Global Privacy Control signal overrides that permission. Our app does not include advertising pixels or data-broker sale features. Do not interpret this as a determination that every provider activity falls outside legal definitions of sale or sharing. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, or opt out of certain processing, and to appeal a denied request. Submit requests through Contact, identify the right you are exercising, and use your account email. We may verify your identity and respond within legally required periods. You may use an authorized agent where allowed. We do not penalize you for exercising applicable rights.

Plus subscribers can opt in to weekly opportunity emails in Privacy & Preferences. For this feature we save the topics, region, work preference, chosen categories, source URLs and email consent you select. These search preferences, not your raw assessment reflections or résumé files, are passed to AI search services to discover relevant public listings. Authorized coaches may add listings specifically for you while their access remains active. We retain digest records and previously delivered URLs to show your latest digest and avoid repeats. We recheck your opt-in and Plus status before delivery. You can stop emails in Preferences or through the unsubscribe link in each digest, without cancelling Plus. Unsubscribing stops future weekly mail but does not by itself delete digest history; contact us for a broader deletion request.

The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and organizations and schools may not enroll minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us so we can investigate and address it. We update this policy when our practices change, revise the date above, and provide additional notice when required.
